This month I'm going to be trying recipes with cranberries and the recipes I want to try are:
Cranberry Orange Muffins
Herbed Pork Roast w/ Cranberry Chutney
Cranberry Walnut Quinoa Salad
Orange Cranberry Sauce ( my favorite from last year!)
Cranberry Sweet Potato Drops ( my own creation ossified from another recipe, can't wait to try them)

All the other recipes were sweet, cookies and such, so if I have time I may try some of those as well.  Which to try first......

11 Weeks and Counting

It's 11 weeks until 2014 is over and 2015 begins!  I'm already working on my new planner for 2015 and I'm hoping next year will be better than this year.  While anything can happen I'm expecting things to get better for me over the next 11 weeks.  :-)

Starting in November I'm going to add one new fruit or vegetable a month and I'll post some of my favorite recipes. I'm still having gluten issues (from cross contact) and I'm hopping this will help somewhat. So next week I'll announce my Fruit/vegetable of November and maybe some recipes I want to try.

Tea Time...or not

I have been trying several different kinds of tea lately, other than my go to Peppermint and Sleepy Time teas. I can't drink ANYTHING that has caffeine in it.  Everytime that I have had tea with caffiene I've gotten a migraine.  Grandpa would be so dissappointed.  It appears my tea times from now on will be exclusively herbal teas and I'll be exploring those the next few months.

My new favorite pen

I have a new favorite pen, Frixion that Pilot sells.  It actually erases, and very well.  It's great in my Bible, note books, stationary.  I bought a three pack (black, blue, and red) for classes I'm taking and I have fallen in love.  I'm saving my pennies, nickles, and dimes for a multi color set to use when I mark/write in my Bible. I'll share pictures later, I just wanted to share tonight. :-)

Having a Learning Disability

Learning Disabilities are not fun to have.  During my recent classes I have seen several videos about people with Learning Disabilities that have made me cry for the simple fact that not only is that me now, but that was me when I was in school.  Along the way Mom also found a video about Social Anxiety Disorder, which I also have been struggling with over the past 3 decades.  I must admit that I have made so much improvement over the past few years.

This Video is a serious of 13 videos showing what it's like for a person with a learning disability in a "normal" classroom and is about an hour long.

This Video is about Social Anxiety disorder and is about an hour.

I have to admit that having both (plus chronic pain) has not always been easy to deal with, but knowledge is half the battle.  As I find more I'll post them because I want people to know what it's like for me; the stress, anxiety, fear.  I may not be afraid to go to the store anymore bu I still have a long way to go.

Another Migraine Day

Today has been another bad migrane day.  The dizziness has been bad and my medicine the neurologist has given me hasn't helped,  I keep trying to find ways to not be as stressed (the reason for mine today) but some days it's just too much.  I did manage to wash the chairs on the front porch and get the pollen off and do laundry.  Despite the pain and everything else that goes along with my migraines I still try to function like a normal person, even if I shouldn't but after having migraines this many days in a row it gets depressing and it seems likes no one really cares about the pain I have to endure.  Right now I feel like crying and doing nothing else because my head feels like there is a giant boulder stuck in my skull over my left eye.  Unfortunately the test my neurologist has done hasn't shown that anything is wrong.  A heating pad helps but the ones I have are to heavy and to big so as soon as I feel up to it I'm going to make a smaller one just for migraine relief.  There is a scent I bought a Michael's that helps aleivaite the pain, it's vanilla.  Saturday I'm going to stop by after my facial and get some (I ran out the week it snowed in February).  All I can really do is pray about it, but pain seems to be my norm and I keep trying to get use to it.

Fitness Journal

I've been using the Fitbook for several years but since the fitness page usually stays empty because I have a different exercise routine than what the book seems to be intended for.  I walk/run, do yoga, and simple exercises with hand weights.  I'm thinking some sort of journal with a pen loop and maybe colored pens.  It's all in my brain and at the moment my brain isn't functioning very well.  I need to come up with a snazzy name to call it.

New Beginning

I've decided to start with the basics, I'm doing a Kay Arthur study on how to study the Bible.  I think it's a great way to start the new year!!!!  I know February is half over but January doesn't count since I had surgery and was recovering.  Despite my horrible migraine today is going fantastic (so far)

After 3 days of snow, and excruciating pain, I'm starting to hurt less.  The creative part of my brain is about to explode.  I'm going to do a Journaling Jar.  I'm going to write down topics or things to do and the journal about them (or just creative things to do) I'm thinking about investing with a Polaroid; I like the way the silver one looks.
